Mail in rebates are a great way to save money!! A mail in Rebate is when you buy a product and you get either some of the money back or you get the full amount back through the mail! Sometime you can even MAKE money on a mail in rebate. Since coupons are treated as cash, if you use a coupon for your mail in rebate they are required to treat the coupon as cash. For example: Product A is $15.00 and you have a coupon for $5.00. you buy the item for $10.00. When you mail in the rebate for the full amount they must pay you the full $15.00 because coupons are treated as cash!!! I have done this many times! A key thing is to read over the directions thoroughly so that you do everything require and send in the proper info. Most rebates take anywhere between 6-10 weeks to get a cheque but its great to get that cheque in the mail!
